Happy Monday everyone! Here's a little recap of our weekend...
Friday
Friday
Ella had so much fun spending TWO nights with Michael's parents. They took such great care of her and we are so grateful to have them. By Friday I was feeling much better and while Michael was still a tad under the weather, I disinfected EVERYTHING in the apartment and went to get my girl that morning. She was so happy to be back home and reunited with us and her little bunny. We went for a family stroll...
And of course had to do a little photoshoot with her bunny... So happy!
My sweetie!
The rest of Friday was pretty low-key. We took a walk to the park, let Ella play for a bit and then came home to eat a yummy Valentine's Day dinner... pizza & sushi. With chocolate for dessert.

Saturday
Saturday we spent a lot of time doing this...
Followed by a lot of this...
We made a family trip to Costco. I avoid going on the weekends when I can, but we needed a few things I didn't want to wait to buy. Ella loves shopping, so she wasn't mad.
Peep the Huggies sample in the cart... It was our lucky day! I didn't know they gave out diaper samples! Meanwhile Michael was out and about enjoying all the food samples. :P
Here was our haul. Not pictured are bananas and the bag of frozen veggies.
We get so much of our stuff at Costco... detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, diapers, wipes, etc. Would love to know some of your favorite Costco finds!
Michael had to travel to Riverside to file our taxes, so Ella and I spent the afternoon playing and then got ready to go play with some friends!
Love this outfit on her, so cute.
We went to play at our friend Sasha's house, and gave her kids their Valentine's that Ella made for them. From there we drove to this cool eatery spot to celebrate our friend Chris' birthday. I forgot to take pics while we were there... but here's a pic I found online.

I packed Ella her own dinner, but Michael and I both ordered from a fried chicken stand. I got chicken with tater tots and corn (super healthy I know) and Michael got a fried chicken sandwich. Somehow I never get pics of my food, because I'm too hungry to think to snap a pic first. Ella stole several of my tater tots ;).
Around 8 I decided to take Ella home, as she normally goes to bed between 7-7:30. Michael stayed to hang out with his friends for a few more minutes. Once Ella went to bed it was just me and...
for the rest of the night. Somehow just discovering this show... and I am obsessed. Team Damon all the way!
At some point on Saturday we took this family pic with my self-timer... Love my sweet family!

Sunday
Ella was up around 6:30 on Sunday.
A yummy breakfast for miss Ella. She loves toast with almond butter. Barney Butter is the best.
Ella went for a walk with her friends.
We made our favorite green smoothie, and then went to the Farmer's Market.
We just grabbed a few things. Spinach, broccoli, green onion, cilantro, cabbage and strawberries.
We went for a family 'hike' at Gum Grove park. I love it there as it feels like you're in the middle of the woods, when you're really a just a short walk away from the beach! Ella walked by herself almost the entire time, and loved exploring... it was so cute.
After our hike, we went to Marshalls so I could buy some sunglasses. Ella broke my favorite pair over the summer and she bent my 2nd favorite pair this weekend... so now they fall off my face. I just bought 2-3 cheap pairs at Marshalls because they break so often. I will invest in a nicer pair when she's older and less inclined to break my things.
The rest of the night was low-key. We made dinner... trying Beyond Burgers for the first time. They tasted just like beef, my mind was blown!!! They were delicious. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a meat-less burger.
Thanks for checking out our weekend, We'll be back tomorrow for Tuesday Talk!

Looks like a fun weekend!! Ella is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little weekend! We've been thinking about trying out Costco but just haven't made the plunge yet...
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better! We don't have a Costco near us but we do stop in at Bj's to stock up on meat, chicken, and veggie straws.
