Hi friends! I am co-hosting today's link up with my friend Adrienne @ Mom Life with Adrienne for our 'What's In My' link up. Today I am sharing what's in my ... clothes closet. I decided to sort of twist the topic and I am just sharing some of my favorite Summer clothes. Normally I buy a few nice pieces for every Summer season, but I didn't do that this year. I figured we weren't going to be going out to any events, or doing any sort of traveling, so I didn't think it would be worth it. I'm just going to share some of my favorite current Summer pieces- even if they are clothes that I have had a long time. I am NOT a fashion blogger by any means. I wear what I am comfortable in, even if it's not the most 'stylish.' I wear what I like vs what is in, and sometimes I stick out like a sore thumb (like when I wear my crocs) but that's just me being me.

I apologize in advance that these are the worst pictures ever. We have terrible lighting in our apartment and right now, we don't have our full length mirror set up. I would have loved to actually shown you my closet, but the lighting was just terrible and you couldn't actually see anything. This was the best I could do last minute for a post!

I am definitely a shorts and tank top kind of girl in the Summer. I feel like such a teeny bopper wearing American Eagle and Hollister, but they are some of my favorites. The ones on the right are for beach days, but that's just about it. They're a little too short for everyday wear. My favorite pair are the Lucky Brand shorts I got at Marshalls years ago for only $10.
I love regular scoop neck or v-neck t shirts like the burnt sienna one on the top left. I also love tank tops in all sorts of prints and materials. I usually buy them at Target or Old Navy.
99% of the time, my Summer outfits look like this...
I'm loving my new bathing suit that I got this Summer. I never thought I would be into the high waisted look, but becoming a Mom changed my mind.
And my knock-off birkenstocks were definitely my shoes of the Summer.
That's all I have for today's post. Please join us next month as we share our coffee bar or coffee station!

Ripped jean shorts and a baggy t-shirt or tank. The shorts are American Eagle and the shirt is from Target.
The rest of my Summer wardrobe looks even more casual and a little like this...
A simple loose tee with some athletic shorts and a hat... Definitely not glamorous, but comfortable. (That's a horrific picture of me btw)
And rarely I 'dress up' and wear a different pair of shorts and a nicer tank top... haha!
I got this shirt recently for 9$ and love the sleeve detail. White is a great Summer color I think.
And I am still loving this color block tee from Amazon. (I just saw that it's on sale for 10$ so I might have to get a couple more in diff colors.) I also love those jean shorts but I can't remember where I bought them.

I am the same comfort over fashion. I like pieces that are going to last
ReplyDeleteI tend to keep going back and forth between fashion and comfort.
ReplyDeleteI have the same camo shirt from Target!
